A woman gently holding an adorable Scottish Fold cat indoors, exuding warmth and affection.

Debbie has been a cat owner since age nine when a young black cat (she later named Jinx) followed her home from the corner grocery store on a sunny spring Friday the 13th. Later, after 30-plus years in corporate marketing, Debbie experienced Corporate Burn-Out on a grand scale and after some soul-searching—with a cat on her lap, of course—about what she really loved best in life in terms of work, she decided to combine her lifelong love for cats with her well-honed skills in marketing and start Divine Feline Cat Care. Now, well over a decade later, she has built up a steady and loyal client base and doesn’t miss Corporate Life at all. She is also so excited to have her now-grown-up daughter Sophie in the business as a full partner to help further grow and modernize the business (a bit!).

Sophie has been surrounded by cats since birth, the first words out of her mouth being “gagi,” which her father thought meant “daddy,” but which we now know really meant “kitty.” Sophie is all grown up now and, after graduating from the University of Minnesota with degrees in nutrition and neuroscience, and accepting a prestigious research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Washington D.C., she recently returned home to enter a Masters Degree program through the University of Minnesota Medical School in Integrated Biology and Physiology. She also became a full partner in our cat business and has many bright ideas about how to enhance it. She is cat-mom to Madge, an 11-year-old rescue tabby who Sophie got in D.C. Madge successfully if somewhat vocally made the three-day road trip back to Minneapolis with Sophie and now completely runs Sophie’s household! But we are so glad they are both back here.

Our Policies

⦁    When you return, please make sure to text or email us that you are home.
⦁    You are responsible for getting keys to us and picking up keys from us if you want them back right away. Many clients just give us an extra set of keys to keep for as long as we work with you.
⦁    We will water a reasonable number of indoor houseplants free of charge. We cannot water outdoor plants or gardens, or an excessive number of indoor plants.
⦁    Holidays are a very busy time for us, especially 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Please do not book us unless you are sure you are going to need our services.
⦁    Cancellations, especially for the holidays or for longer blocks of time, will be subject to a cancellation fee. The only exception is for health-related issues.
⦁    If you are typically a twice-daily visit person, we may not be able to do two visits on December 24th. This is our family Christmas celebration time so we can probably only do one visit for you that day.
⦁    As with our indoor plant-watering policy, we will usually administer medications for no extra charge. If the number of medications given is unusually large, we may charge an extra fee.
